Hi -
This is more of a preemptive question. We were broadcasting on TheCube.com and had no problems, but are moving to YouTube Live.
I'm the advisor for our school broadcasting group. We have permission from the state high school league and/or appropriate sections to broadcast sporting events. My concern is during warm-ups and time-outs; they play music in the gym. Will this get flagged for copyright violations? People aren't coming for the music (clearly) and we do not monetize our videos. Fans need to pay to get into the events, but online viewers do not pay for the stream.
If it looks like this might be a problem, are there any possible solutions? We are separate from the people that play the music at the games and don't have control or say over what they play.
