I have honestly only clicked the like button on one of my videos one time. And it was an accident. I was drinking pretty heavily, and started watching my own channel, one of my vlogs I hadn't seen in a while made me laugh my a** off, at the end of it I was literally just acting as if this wasn't my video I was like "hahahaha that was AWESOME!! LIKED!" And then I stepped away for a minute and was like "dude... that was your video" LOL

No it doesn't LOL, your opinion of your videos stays the same whether you click that button or not. clicking the button just shows you're not ashamed to let others know you're proud of your work, but click it or not, you're still gonna be just as ashamed/proud of your work regardless. Either way it's just a way to show you have faith in what you do and to give the video a boost. I think you're over thinking this personally
Yes this is the fear I had. But Ive realized, someone would have to be pretty stupid to see you as narcissistic for doing it, so they'd have to be a cynical "hater type" and if there's anything Ive learned from youtubing, those types of people are everywhere, and their opinions amount to ZERO
