Like/Dislike button question.

Can the Like / Dislike button be used as a form of voting system?

Say for example you have a Orange for LIKE and Apple for DISLIKE and you ask the audience to vote for their favourite via the like/dislike button? or is this against YouTube rules?

Noticed a handful of youtube videos doing this.

Seems a bit sketchy / grey area.

I have never heard of that one before. >_< So like they would put up a poll and the answers would be either in Like/Dislike? So does that mean they put the more favorable answer on Like to trick people to like the video? lol

Exactly lol.... It's ingenious in a way but at the same time could backfire. But then again a load of dislikes would show user engagement?

Whatever next, as if click bait wasn't enough.

I think the idea behind it is the average viewer 9 times out of 10 is not going to engage in a video.

It's too much hassle to comment, the card poll option is another they'd probably overlook or they just simply cannot be bothered...

But... The Like / Dislike is quick and simple and if they desire anonymous (presuming they private their Like playlist).

Maybe 2017 will be full of these videos lol

Alright listen, it was a pretty bad thing, until I started getting subs for no reason. At first this troll was disliking my videos with 9 different accounts (yep), now I'm getting subs left and right. Not sure if it's the same guy, but Im thoroughly confused.
