Lightworks, A different mold for video editing?

I've Got It
Hi this is MrGuyAwesome, I have a channel on YouTube and to edit my videos I use Lightworks.

I know that most use Sony Vegas, and a smaller but significant percentage use Adobe and such, but I really feel that Lightworks is the way forward for editing. I find it very easy to use and after a week or so you know the basics and can do them well. I do however want your advice as well, does anyone else use Lightworks and love it? Have you tried Lightworks but still stand true to your editing software? If so tell me why!

I like to use Adobe Premiere, mainly because every video editing/production company either uses Premiere, FCP7 or Avid. The most common now is Premiere so it make's sense for me to learn it and use it the most.

If I wasn't trying to get a qualification and job in post-production I might use something more basic for a YouTube channel, but for me it's easier to just use the same piece of software for everything so I learn it better.

It's also nice to just have something very professional to work with as you know what it's capable of.. because you can see the results everywhere on the internet and TV.
 
Thanks for your reply Andrew! I never even considered the economical side of things for a job or anything! Although simpler editing software may be more ideal for less specialised editers if you can use Adobe like a pro it has only pro's and very little cons and I'd definitely use it to the best of your abilities if I were you! For example you could much more easily put your personality into your videos! I've never even tried Adobe because I'm put off by paying for software - tight funds haha.

I was lucky enough that my Graphdad bought the Master Collect with 2 Keys and gave one of them to me as a present when I bought my iMac for college.

Although if you're a student you can get the Adobe CC full collect for around £14-£16 a month which is incredible!
