That's the Sim City that crashed and burned, right? Oh, I heard about that. Did you preorder it and take place in the fiasco?

It is a good thing. That was an awful thing EA did to their customers. They needed to test more or give up on that stupid internet requirement. Well, I'm glad it worked out for you :)
 
I could see where EA was going with the whole DRM thing. BUT, they needed to do it right, which, they've improved it a lot, but it's nowhere near where it should be. I have the game and love it, haven't had many server failures. usually it reconnects with in a minute or two of disconnecting. You can still play disconnected, as long as you are already in the game though
