Animation Yey!
Everyone has their favourite videos and channels,
and most people are interested in improving their channels over time.
Think of all the genre's you enjoy watching on YouTube, and post the title of your favourite video/series in that genre, then this whole thread can be filled with the best examples that YouTubers have to offer.
There's no need for argument since this will all be personal opinion, but I'm interested to see what your favourite videos are, and why!
I'll go first
Let's Plays:
- Gamegrumps - Punch out series ~ I've always enjoyed the gamegrumps, but the one series that really stood out to me as the best was the PunchOut series. It was the very first appearance on Daniel Avidan on the show, and Arin and Dan got on like a house on fire. Dan was playing incredibly well since it was a game from his childhood, and I have rewatched it many many times. Really great series, great banter, and some solild skilled gameplay, what more can you want from a Let's play.
Vlogs:
- DoStuffJosh - all his vlogs ~ I'm not much of a vlog watcher, but one that stands out in my mind is Josh, his thumbnails and intros are top quality, and I find him really genuinely entertaining, its not all vlogs on the channel too.
Animation:
- Guy Collins Animation - Kaizo Trap - one of the most fantastic animations I've ever seen. really amazing frame by frame work that also has a gaming theme around it, and some brilliant music, if you haven't seen it you should!
- BarfQuestion - Empire of Sock [Complete] - an absolutely fantastic animation made fully with traditional hand drawn and coloured frames. It only has around 4,000 views too! (warning - pretty creepy imagery)
- Apexxwolf - Cleffa the copycat - ApexxWolf has a really bright original style that's so nice to look at. personal favourite - cleffa the copycat, of course its a pokemon parody, I love those. the camera zooms and explosion effects are also so good.
- Cyriak - all vids - probably the most original channel I know of on youtube. his work is so bizarre and at times so detailed I've never seen and copies at all. truly the best of weird and wonderful!
that's all I have for now, ill probably come back to this with other examples
looking forward to see what your favourites are!
(the point of this thread is for you to scroll through, find your own genre, and see what people believe is the best videos they know in that genre. We can see how our own channels match up, and make improvements - and we can also discover some real talent we haven't seen before)
