League of Legends Recording

I'm interested in creating some game play videos for a LoL group, but I'm not too sure how to go about this. I know about LolReplay but apparently that is not enough. What software would I need and how would I go about utilizing them to result in some nice, crisp LoL youtube videos?

Most Youtube Let's Players use a program called Fraps to record PC gameplay. There are a couple of issues while working with Fraps...
1) It isn't free
2) The recorded file sizes are huge.. Like 4gb for 8 to 10 minutes
3) It can lag your game while recording
4) If you use fraps to record both ingame audio and an external audio source (your mic) sometimes your mics audio can get desynced
5) It's not as easy as you think it is to take on recording/posting gameplays. It might take some research.
There are other video capturing programs out there, but to my knowledge, you'll get the highest quality with Fraps.

If you have any questions that you think I might be able to answer, feel free to ask.

Fraps is the best.
Look up ffmpeg to convert to FRAPS RAW to smaller files.
It will take a binary script, but it's worth researching!

or Camtasia if LoL can run in Windowed mode. Though, with Camtasia, you do NOT have the option of removing your mouse cursor in game.
If that doesn't bother you, then Camtasia is less resource/space intensive.
