Im using a Sony IC voice recorder and just got a lapel microphone thinking that would really help my audio sound better. I used it for the first time the other day and after importing the recording on my computer it sounded great but when i put it into movie maker it will only come out of one speaker. It comes out of both speaker when its not in movie maker so im really confused as to why its doing this. Any help and guidance on this would be appreciated, im new with the mic so i may be doing something wrong and i just dont know. Please help if you can and thank you in advance.

Just go into the audio properties and change it from Mono to Stereo, then drag the fader into the middle so it's even. Had this problem before.

Im having a problem locating any settings for the audio aside from volume and fade in and out. Do you know where i can locate the area your referring to? I have the first movie maker edition.

install audio editing software in that case because your editing software is very basic, something like audacity will work fine and you can find many tutorials online of changing mono sound to stereo.
