Hello guys!
I am in South Korea and am making a YouTube channel providing Korean food cooking videos with recipes. We are targeting the US as our major audience.

I have tried promoting on Facebook and some online communities such as Reddit. Or leaving comments on other famous cooking videos. But the views and subscribes still dont go up as much as we would like.

Is there any advice that i can promote my channel more efficiently?

Thank you ^^

I'd recommend you learning about basic SEO and then targeting the keywords from your niche in your metadata (titles, description and tags.)

Lots of articles here about SEO: http://yttalk.com/forums/youtube-video-marketing-strategy-seo.88/

If and when you do advertising, target US with ads like in Facebook. I did something similar with a cooking video for a Filipino dish (targeted Philippines), and it seems to have been successful. I will warn you though, US is a tough market to crack with all the competition.

If you’re running a Korean food recipe channel for a U.S. audience, I’d focus on simplifying traditional dishes like kimchi fried rice or bulgogi with easy-to-find ingredients. Short step-by-step videos work really well, especially when you explain flavor substitutes for local grocery stores. Also, mixing in lifestyle content like what you do after cooking can make your channel feel more personal. I’ve seen creators even share how they unwind, like casual gaming sessions this guide was interesting: https://3patigold.pk/. It adds a relatable touch and keeps viewers coming back beyond just recipes.

If you’re targeting a US audience, pairing Korean recipes with drink ideas can really boost engagement. A lot of viewers enjoy seeing what beverages complement spicy or savory dishes. I’ve noticed menus like https://7brrewmenu.com/ give a good sense of popular drink flavors people already love, which can inspire great pairing ideas for your content.
