Just started YouTube, How do I begin colaborating with people?

I have just started my YT channel, I want to grow my subscribers and want to make friends, how to i begin colaborating? i dont know where to start.

Find a You-tuber that upload similar content to yours, and ask them to collab.

Collab with the smaller guys then work your way up. Personally I don't like making collaboration videos... but that's just me
