Just curious, Gaming channels?

Because gamers love playing games and also watching other gamers
Supply and demand
There is a huge demand for gaming videos and so gamers supply it whilst doing what they love
 
I made my gaming channel as it's fun and my friends have started too get really entertained by my videos as the episodes have gone by it has been a really fun experience. If anyone is interested please visit my channel. Thank you :)
 
I have always loved gaming since I was like 3-4 years old, so it's only natural that I would make a gaming channel instead of a vlogging channel or something else.
 
Well the reason why I have a gaming channel (aka Let's Plays) It for me is a way to use my weird comedic personalty to hopefully spread some smiles! Cheesy, but true! :D I also feel like its more approachable than something like vlogs because there's something your familiar with in the background at all times!

I made my channel around the time Dark Souls 2 was released. I remembered how much hell the first game put me through and I wanted to help people through the sequel. After that I decided to just keep the channel going because people enjoyed it and I wound up having a small following. I love gaming, almost as much as I love music. Only reason I don't do music on the channel is because I lack the equipment to record in high quality. (for now.)

Besides, most people start a gaming channel because they like playing games, so it's a way to justify the hobby to them.

Out of curiosity, why do people start vlogging channels? and I mean no disrespect when I say this, but I don't understand the appeal of it. I hate doing vlogs, but I feel obligated to do them every once in a while for my viewers. Again, I'm not trying to troll, or be mean, I'm genuinely curious.
 
Most people have a gaming channel because that is what they do on a day-to-day basis and they want to be payed for showing their content and doing what they enjoy
 
I chose to make a gaming channel for multiple reasons.
1. I like Gaming and therefore I game a lot.
2. I like watching YouTube (but actually thought a lot of the gaming channel were the same).
3. I had/have a lot of free time.
4. So I thought why not just go ahead and make my own gaming channel and have some fun.

I also use my channel a little as a vlog.

It fits with youtube well and is a very big hobby for many now plus it has a very wide age range and worldwide appeal.
It also costs little to nothing for most to make videos once you get set up unlike for example gun shooting, travel, or product review channels who have to spend allot for every video unless they get sponsored.
