How much promotion is too much? I always feel like when I go on Twitter/FB and other social sites, if I try to push my channel/videos too much, I'm going to cause the opposite reaction I'm looking for. So how much promotion is too much?
 
Try a detailed-ish and convincing post on each site, like Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
I can never get round to doing that.
 
Once a day, three at the most on each social media site you go to. Just be polite and don't beg or seem desperate.

I definitely post on Twitter and Facebook. Additionally, I post each video in a couple of other forums within a day or two of the videos going up to keep the line moving. I am probably not going to use Reddit too much though. That site, especially for Minecraft, is very negative. I haven't been able to post for 3 days for some reason even though my SMP server has a page on there that I should be able to use.[DOUBLEPOST=1379540116,1379539926][/DOUBLEPOST]

I try to keep it limited so not to spam people. For instance, when the video uploads it goes to Twitter right away and in a couple days, I'll repost it again and that's usually it unless it's a special video. Thanks for the responses though.
 
Tumblr, Twitter and Reddit. Facebook, yes, but you need a bit of money for the paid advertising, so I'll wait for that.

So, promote to those sites, but try to keep it at alternating weeks?
So on Week 1 you promote, but on Week 2 you don't.

It helps with balancing it out and make you less desperate to get people to watch it :)
