Jokeroo Message Offering Money to Post my Video....

Not sure what thread this belongs in, but.....

Has anyone ever received a message from jokeroo.com offering money to post a video? If so, was it legit? Someone contacted me asking for permission, so the fact that they didn't just steal my video makes it seem legit. Just want to make sure I don't let them steal rights to my video before saying go ahead.
 
Hum.... Never heard of this website or anything. They want to put your video on their website and pay tou for it?
 
I sell videos quite a bit to different websites and tv shows. If they want to purchase it off you and are serious about it make sure that you get a non exclusive license which just gives them the rights to publish it instead of the rights to the video. If it is a popular video you want to make sure you always obtain the rights to the video or you won't be able to keep on selling it.

Hopefully they just post a link to my video so I get views AND money upfront, lol!

See I told you that you'd be getting offers to license your video.

I had an offer from them with cash up front for them to "promote / use" one of my videos. I asked a few questions and checked out their forums and decided to ignore them.

Then a week ago, they sent me a second message with an offer 3x the $$$ first one. I ignored them.

Their site seems legit but their offer to "promote" wasn't clear and neither was their payment system. I don't like how they use their own proprietary viewer that gives you no credit and obv doesn't show ads. If you go to their forum and check out the terms, it seems that the $$ offer is credited to an account. You can only withdraw that $$$ when it goes over a threshold and that happens when your video is liked blah blah blah. Cut a long story short, there seemed to be a lot of hoops to jump through and I just kinda lost patience / interest with them. They seem legit though, but I got fed up with their vague answers to stuff.

I'd be interested in knowing how much they offered you though. If you wanna tell me by PM, I'll tell you too :)

I was once offered money from a tv station in Canada..
They wanted to buy the license to show my video in a tv program about magicians.
 
Just got another request from someone to post the same video to their site, who would have thought a sleeping Dalmatian would be so popular? LOL!
