Job title for youtube

Luckily I don't work for an employer so I don't have to deal with this conundrum. However, when the topic comes up for what do I do for work such as...like yesterday when I had to fill out paperwork at my dermatologist's office, I put "self employed". Feels good to have gotten out of the rat race, nothing better than to work for your own self!

You shouldn´t mention Youtube unless someone asks you. Most people won´t take that seriously. If you wanna mention your Youtube experience, you can place it as "Audiovisual Producer".

But i wouldn´t recommend you to do it unless Youtube has ever been a real source of income for you. I mean, really like a job. Otherwise it would be just lame and you will sound like a loser trying to look important.

Things in States are obviously different.
Haha thanks! Just checked out your channel - the intro used in your two latest videos is cool! Did you make it yourself?
No, i thought it was time to order one. I found dude who made it on this forum though. He works very slowly (turtle speed), but results are no match for anyone else for his price. His thread yttalk.com/threads/professional-gfx-for-your-channel-banners-logos-intros-outros.83009/

What if employeer is not an ancient person and see this as if you will leave them the moment your channel takes off. They never want (okay... not all of them) to invest time teaching someone for their good if that person has own business plans. That is of course only if you will provide/will be asked to show what you been doing on inet.
Never had that happen.. My employer knows I do Youtube.. My boss is a subscriber. So are a few of my co-workers. I've even edited some stuff for my channel at work.. to test out new software.[DOUBLEPOST=1434557890,1434557699][/DOUBLEPOST]

I disagree. But I work in the video/film industry.. To me it show you are using your creativity and skills. They aren't putting a link to the channel, just that they produce it.. Also if they do a weekly or daily shows, it shows that you have organizational skills as well as dedication and are a hard worker.

Well worth the time!

And yeah, Online Content Creator sounds good to me, I was just going to suggest "Content Creator", but that's more vague if you're not a regular on the YouTube.

That's cool. I'm not looking for an intro but just thought I'd let you know I think its cool ha!

I find it interesting that some people here are downplaying YouTube as if it is a joke.. yet they are here because they love youtube? Most Major Corporations have YouTube Channels... So I don't see how saying you do a channel on youtube is a bad thing... Unless your content sucks, and if it does then put more effort into it and make it not suck.Am I right @Vicboss

Uhm... unless it is related, or you are actually banking a living wage do NOT include YouTube as job related experience. For most it's a hobby, no matter how much of a job it really is to maintain a YouTube channel.
