January Revenue is lower than usual!

It dropped for me too, he’ll YouTube is changing my number for December!

When I checked for the full month of December I was at $625, yesterday it dropped to $599, and this morning it dropped to $529.

What the hell?!

Having the same.

Just wondering if it's worth putting in the effort of maintaining my efforts to keep views high or wait till revenue increases. I suppose if I keep the momentum up it will mean I'm squeezing out as much as possible even when things are low.

Seems they reduced revenue on the 24th/25th/26th December?
Looks like it, since my post it dropped another $3.00.

I understand it is supposed to be "estimated" but it is still a pretty significant change.

I wonder if it’s somewhat niche dependent? I know several fitness/diet channels that say January is always their biggest month due to New Year’s resolutions related to dieting. I’m hoping that’s the case. LOL. My Oct-Dec was great, but my views, comments and subscribers have really boomed the last couple of weeks with people researching low carb diets. I’ve also seen a huge increase in ads related to fitness products and services on channels in my niche this past week. Advertisers I’ve never seen before. Fingers crossed!

This is nothing new and happens every year.

If you were to take an average for each month of the year, January (for me) typically earns about 80% of normal.

What makes it look worse is that December is (by far) the best month and often earns 175-200% of the average...so the drop from nearly double standard income to 20% below normal is accentuated.

Huh, cause I had a big jump in December, January's been better then last December so far. Though I'm doing different stuff right now. Wonder if that helps...

January is normally pretty bad. From Jan 1 through Jan 6, I had 1,631,059 views with a CPM of 3.40.
For the month of December, I had a CPM of 5.36.

January 2017 CPM was 3.80 for the month.
Good news is Feb 2017 jumped to 4.41 and by March it was back over $5 and stayed pretty consistent.

You know nothing if you haven't lost $2600 estimated income from your best video.

That's what happened to me.
Check my thread on it.

One video since 1st of December to 5th of Jan registered good estimates of up to $2766 and then suddenly it drops to $190.

Turns out the new estimated monetized playbacks are zero...yes ZERO for Dec. All I got is YouTube Red' $190.

Pray tell me how 367K views of about 5M minutes register zero monetized playback while November's 77K views, and 1M minutes earned me $675:crying:
