anybody have issues of people putting links in the comments asking you to follow them or links to inappropriate websites. its so annoying. Is there a way to stop this, if so let me know. because I have a very small channel and its hard to know who enjoys my content and who doesn't
It does for me as well but. the point is youtube shouldn't allow this to happen. especially for people that have links to sexual websites in there channel description
yup, its either someone wanting me to follow them on instagram, or to go and check their channel or to click a link to a song or something like that, really, i need some sniper towers and mini guns to keep these people away! :'D
In your comment management settings (https://www.youtube.com/comment_management), add
*links*
as a "blocked word" to block all links. However, this will also block comments when people say timestamps of the video.
I also recommend adding all the other kinds bypass spam attempts people do, such as stuff like "H T T P : / /," as blocked words. So far, this has been able to catch most of it for me! ^_^
On big channels I see bots with the same pic and user as the creator and then put fake likes and comments to get it popular so people will click their fishy link. It sucks! But yeah the spam filter does work and you should use it if you are getting a lot of them.
