Is youtube worth doing?

It's not something that can get you thousands of subscribers after a few weeks. YouTube takes time: your first 100 subs will be the hardest you ever get (or so I've been told).

I had a look through your channel, and personally I think you should focus on making it look more professional. Download Photoshop CS2 (free because it's so old) and learn how to use it - it's great software to make custom thumbnails with, and you will notice an increase in views after you start using them.

But don't give up - if you make content you enjoy, chances are other people will enjoy it as well. :)

I really don't want to be rude here but you can't have this attitude and be successful. I have also seen a lot of people saying Lets Play channels have a hard time growing. That is true. I mean I do Lets Plays and I am growing rather slowly. But I have found that if you have a niche in the Lets Play community it is not really that hard. Yes I have seen channels who do nothing but Black Ops, Minecraft, latest-shooter-online-game-number-seven-million and they go nowhere. If you actually enjoy making content then of course it is worth it because it makes you happy. I love making stuff, I love interacting with other channels and laughing at our stuff with them. But if you are only doing this to 1. Be famous or 2. Be rich you are in for a bad time because your stuff will simply not be as good or personable as channels who actually make their stuff because they enjoy it

Thumbnails Are KEY! Download Paint.net, Its Free And You Can Get Plugins To Do Awesome Things. ALWAYS MAKE CUSTOM THUMBNAILS, That Is Just So Your Video Stands Out From The Rest. I Find The Hardest Is Getting The First 50 Subs. But Once You Get Those Then You Get About 1-5 Subs A Week. On My Other Channel I Hit 850 Last Week And I Gained 5 Subs In A Few Days Because PPL Share Videos On Facebook And People Discover You.

It can be a long process. And success is not guaranteed. You have to determine for yourself if it is worth doing. To do YouTube you have to have an extreme amount of patience and be consistent. And love what you do despite the numbers. If you are thinking about giving up already and you just started. Then YouTube may not be for you.

YouTube channels don't grow overnight, as time goes on you will be noticed more and more. YouTube is only worth it if you enjoy making content, but if you have a dream you shouldn't let the numbers get you down. If this is something you want to do, do it! Don't give up because of the number of views!

if your tagging your videos right have a catchy title that has something to actually do with your video and you get involved in the community overtime these are some ways to help get you there but you have to enjoy what you are doing and being in it for the growth or views if your content is worth it people will find the way to your channel and subscribe you have to love yourself and your channel before anyone else can keep head up high and keep pushing yourself if you want it to work make it work:bounce:

Sometimes it takes months...even years to get noticed and do it big and that's if you are putting out some good content. But yeah after a month man and you are tired maybe not. ( SIDE NOTE, you have some super a** loud gulp swallowing noises in your video) maybe edit those out O_O!!!! BESIDES THAT, you should start asking for how to make your content better and what you could do. Editing is a huge part and it takes hours sometimes.

I've been at my channel for a short amount of time and have had no growth at all. I know it takes time but I don't enjoy putting out content when nobody even knows it exists

I think you answered your own question: For you? Definitely not. You have to have love for the creative process in order for YouTube to be fun. Only the 0.1% gets the growth everyone (including myself) would like to see. All the others will not, and probably will never see 10K let alone 100K subscribers. If you have love for the creative process the numbers take a back seat. You notice them, but they have less value. I have been at it for 3 years. Whenever someone says "whut, only 3.2k subscribers in 3 years, u suck" I reply: I might suck at the numbers game, but I am winning in the personal happiness it brings me. And honestly, I have met more awesome people by doing this hobby than anywhere. It forges bonds with people I previously did not even know.
