Is Youtube Really Putting out a paid subscription plan ???

Can I just say, I would pay money to someone who started a channel called BarleyPolitical. I just imagine a whole slew of drunken political rants.

Anyways, they might. But they haven't at the moment.
They make parodies , comedy skits , etc - BUT THEY DONT RANT ![DOUBLEPOST=1368159629,1368159559][/DOUBLEPOST]
There is an application to make your channel paid for. Some big youtubers may do this, but It probably will be some kind of web series or a movie or something that they've made. If BarleyPolitical did it, i'm sure they would still post their normal content, and have some extra stuff required to pay for.
Do u think they'll put the paid subscription on ?

I don't think so, no.[DOUBLEPOST=1368159740][/DOUBLEPOST]
How about the FineBros ? will they get in on the paid subs thing ?
All we know who's going on the list is the people on that list I gave you. Everyone else is unknown at the moment.

It wouldn't be a stretch - provided Google thinks it's viable for their model. Google-owned channels can often be a proving ground for things they're trying to push. Since BarelyPolitical is Google-owned, it's likely up to them.
ok, so do u think BartBaker will do it to ?

Highly doubt it. Their content does not lend itself to that type of format. But at the same time, if the ad campaigns are worthwhile, I'm sure you could tempt just about anybody into it.

But as KGATV said, it's all going to be speculation. All I can say definitively is that I'm not going pay-to-play...for now. :P[DOUBLEPOST=1368159996,1368159882][/DOUBLEPOST]
In theory any channel could do it, but for BarelyPolitical (whose videos are mostly parodies and stuff) I'd say it wouldn't suit them because of the type of content they produce.

I tend to agree - though at the same time, they're also not necessarily chasing after viral candy. And if Google wants to prove that the model can work with traditional YouTube talent...well, they'd probably fare better than Vsauce (looking at the channels Google owns).[DOUBLEPOST=1368160053][/DOUBLEPOST]

I suggest you ask BartBaker. He's probably the authority on what his channel will be doing :P

At least TechnoBuffalo won't do this (they posted on Facebook a few days ago)
