Is YouTube Dying?

Yeah but it's hard to give opinions for both arguments, the internet hasn't been around long enough so we don't know what the possibility of the longevity of massively popular websites is, I personally think it will keep it's steam.
yeah 20 years isn't a long time at all

Yeah I don't expect it to kick in 2 years but 15, by then we will have iPhone 13's and google glass will be as casual as a watch. You are looking at it from the current standpoint not looking towards the future.
I do agree with you that everything dies eventually, but the future of youtube will not be as dependent on the under 30 demographic as they have been the last 10 years. The people who were kids and teens during the dot com boom aren't going to stop using the internet when they hit 40. Sites will do exactly what radio stations and tv networks have done for decades. The big ones will adapt and reinvent themselves, and the small ones will die. Big business always wins. It always has and always will.

Is YouTube dying? No lol. Is Facebook dying? Absolutely not. Look at the dollars and the cents. That will tell you what's dying and what isn't.

Just because you personally don't use any of these things doesn't mean a darn thing.

Not really no, not in the sense of the internet anyway it was only like in the early 2000 that internet has become affordable and easily accessible for everyone and when massive websites took off and are still currently at the top so yeah I would say it's kinda hard to know how long they could possibly go for.

Get out of your feelings please. We are just having a discussion on how users minds and how websites change and format over time. You saying "Look at da $ they make" has nothing to do with this.

yeah I see that happening as well but many radio stations as you said adapt and kind of lose what they use to do, for example I don't know many people that listen to the radio for music as they have an iPhone that can play any song in a matter of seconds now. As you said about TV Networks, Television is obviously not the centerfold for entertainment anymore with sites such as YouTube and Netflix becoming increasing more popular, Television has taken a backseat for many reasons.[DOUBLEPOST=1459788901,1459788870][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'm basing my comments off of what I see from the kid I live with who works with an ad agency and major, Fortune 500 companies/brands, on a daily basis. They wouldn't be making content if these networks were dying, hence the reference to dollars and cents.

Emotions? Hardly. Facts. Yes. And in terms of user minds, that's his job, so I hear quiet a bit about it every single day.

Well facebook was created February 4, 2004 which is early 2000nds so that is a good example and YouTube was early 2005

Hmm really?

When did I say I don't use Youtube, also Twitter is one of the most popular sites globally and didn't make a penny till 2013 so I suggest that your 'facts' are irrelevant to this conversation, have a nice day.
