Is YouTube Dying?

Facebook? Die out? Are you sure? Haha millions of people are on that site and I'm talking like maybe in 10 years time YouTube might start to suffer but if it keeps going this way and even ironing out the problems it has I don't see it going anywhere
If you do not agree with me that Facebook has been abandoned by many under the age of 30 then you are ignorant on the many minds of instagram, twitter, and whatever the f**k musically is, users. There ares so many dead Facebook accounts, so long are the days of staying on all day but now I'd be surprised if anyone I actually care about logged in once a week.

Doesn't mean its dying though. Means its evolving, the demographic has changed.

Okay and in turn less users are going to continue using the site, as they now use snapchat or whatever. So the point i'm trying to make is if a 'YouTube killer' was to come up and all the young people left youtube for the 'youtube killer' in turn the demographic would change to older users who stuck with youtube since they use to use it before the youtube killer came around. Kids born today won't be using Facebook is my point.

Taken from a website using a quick Google Search: "1.04 billion people log onto Facebook daily (DAU) for December 2015, which represents a 17% increase year over year (Source: Facebook as 1/27/16)" so of course the younger generation will you facebook what other website does what it does? But back to the YouTube thing I don't think there will be a takeover from YouTube since there would be no way anyone other than google could fund to pay all those people doing it professionally not only that but be able to handle the amount of traffic and uploads that YouTube currently gets every day plus to be fair other than the issues with copyright claims and the way people get paid you can't really do it better than YouTube currently does apart from higher bit rate videos.

I'm willing to bet you $100 rn first-world teens will not use Facebook in 2030.
Do you not understand how ads work? Google doesn't pay out of pocket they pay the creators a percentage of what google makes from the ads. The hardest part would be the startup.

I'd be willing to bet man, year after year that site seems to still be top dog for social media next to twitter and Instagram, I don't think it's going anywhere for a long while.

Yeah I don't expect it to kick in 2 years but 15, by then we will have iPhone 13's and google glass will be as casual as a watch. You are looking at it from the current standpoint not looking towards the future.

I don't think youtube will die that easily. It's google's now :P they won't fail. I just think they will get bigger and focus more on streaming in the future.

Yeah that is the next big thing. Vlogging is popular and so is streaming from your phone ie. periscope or younow. If you want to make some big $$$ take my advice now- create some streaming app for google glass or some other form of glasses on your face or some headset that you wear so people watch everything you do. I know it sounds weird but it will be popular in the next 5-10 years which sounds crazy but watch.

Yeah but it's hard to give opinions for both arguments, the internet hasn't been around long enough so we don't know what the possibility of the longevity of massively popular websites is, I personally think it will keep it's steam.
