Is youtube becoming overcrowded?

I've been debating this with my YT friends for a while, and recently we all came to a conclusion.
There is a high volume of channels, but there are a hell of a lot of channels that aren't quality or entertaining or frequent. People are looking for the person with it all, not just one or two. Yes, some weigh in stronger than others, but having all three are very beneficial to a channel, and they usually become popular.
But if you're new producing quality content is very expensive especially for gaming channels, just think you need alot of equiptment.

1) HD-PVR - £130
2) Blue Snowball or Triton Headset - £80
3) Decent PC for rendering and editing - At least £200
4) And Games if you're a xbox channel

There are so many youtubers now barely anyone gets noticed now. Small gaming channels are starting to flop because everything you think off for a video idea has already been done :(

Well in truth there is nothing new out there.. it is just a new way of doing the same thing but in your own style.

I've got my headset for 40-50 american dollars, and it's better than my Blue Snowball. & If you're really dedicated, slow rendering times... ya get used to em. Also, I do PC gaming, so an HD-PVR isn't exactly needed. It is difficult to start it up and find your own way through the mess of screen recorders and consoles vs PC, etc, etc, but once ya do & get used to it, it's a hell of a lot easier.
& Youtube is an investment for anything- Decent cameras for vloggers, nice editing software, I don't even want to imagine a small film maker's money spendage (that is so a word...) It's tough, but it forces improvisation.

You gotta work with what you've got! My lighting quality sucks so I have to edit that in a bit!

There are a lot of youtubers, but I think there are a lot of people prone to giving up as well. I might be delusional but I think if you REALLY enjoy what you are doing and keep at it, you will definitely grow. It could take a long time, but if you're obviously going to be doing it forever and ever, who cares? :)

True! People who want money will quit when they don't get it. Other people will keep going. I'm just on a break because I'm in some sort of depression. I need energy! Redbull, where are you?!!
