Is This Network Any Good or Is it a scam?

Of course. So why do people see it as a negative thing when my friend does it, but every other network is off the hook...?

No network should be off the hook.

However, from my experience, 80% of networks claim to offer TONS (high CPM! Great splits! great support! great music you can use for free!) yet really don't deliver.

CPM - many just offer 100% normal adsense ads. All offer at least some %, but the worst are 100%.
great splits - well depends what other services you're getting. But the initial offer is generally the worst.
great support - very rare.
music for free - you can find this on your own for free. Same goes for support.

To be fair, groups offering an open license to sites like AudioMicro, ProductionTrax and so on are extremely beneficial. Yes, you can find free music but in my experience the Creative Commons sites are often very poorly organized and difficult to search. Most likely because they don't generate income. AudioMicro on the other hand is amazing for finding music and SFX.

Quality of the tracks is higher in general as well.

Even if they seem friendly they aren't always. Many so called 'networks' are just out for money and only care about getting the money.

I think I read somewhere that this network seemed scammy since it's so unprofessional.

I agree. It's all legit. In a span of a week my friend signed 8 partners, and from what he said (which I can believe) they're all connected to their dashboard, and have no issues.

As far as people say he's money hungry, well, where do you get that evidence from? At least he gives good benefits to the partners. That shows that he just doesn't accept anyone and don't support them.

Remember that most of the small networks are sub-networks or content aggregators contracted with a major MCN. In most cases they are with Forela or Zoomin.TV. Forela is linked in some respects to Zoomin though as MCN's they are separate. Sub-networks and CA's benefit from whatever features their parent MCN has. There may be something coming down the pipe with Zoomin though I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to say and I don't know if it applies to Forela Digital as well.

You doubt they do?
ZGN is with ZoominGames, and they have a dashboard with a music library

By the way, every network starts brand new. You shouldn't say it's a scam until:
1) a partner submits a complaint
2) you've been in it yourself

And I know. I've seen the dashboard. I work on the official graphics and web design.

I know. That's Zoomin. We at ZgN are working for a "lite" version of the Zoomin Dashboard to be on our website to track stats and earnings, not to mention we're creating some simple songs in GarageBand to send to partners in our newsletter.
(So we look professional and independent haha)

Ahh. I would advise caution, you're bridging on self promotion. I do wish you luck though. The network business is fickle.
