Is this laptop good enough for Elgato HD60?

Yes I know my PC is over the limit but how come Im getting choppy footage? The Elgato software would be like the only thing running in the background[DOUBLEPOST=1418536843,1418536770][/DOUBLEPOST]

My laptop or the laptop I want to get?[DOUBLEPOST=1418536894][/DOUBLEPOST]

Srry to ask but when you say "that laptop", are you referring to my current or the one I want to get?
The 1 you're going to get.

May I ask, that did you ever have any problems with recording with the LGP, or how much FPS do you have in the game? If the game lags no womder the recording is choppy. Also you shouldn't have any prpblems with that new laptop.

Those require are way over estimated, my friend uses a Pentium 4 PC with the elgato.

Since the elgato is doing most of the work a powerful PC isn't required, only a fast and even then a USB 2 HDD at 300-400 Mbit is fast enough.

You may experience issues with playback if your PC is not fast enough and may be laggy, but once you edit and render or upload to YT it should be fine.

Recording? Not really, the preview window would lag a little behind but when i hit "stop recording"but when the LGP renders out the video, the video has no problem.

In the Elgato HD60, both the preview window and the footage is extremely choppy. Its basically unwatchable.

Idk about FPS since im recording off a console. The game is not lagging since its off a console and the HD60 is pass-through

Then the two possible options are very bad USB speed, or a faulty HD60. You may want to try the Elgato oit with an other laptop/PC aand another USB cable, of the error still exists then most likely it's a faulty Elgato, if else then you should get another USB cable/HDD/etc. Probably. But you may want to ask for support on the Elgato site, that should be a safe bet.
