One of my YouTube videos showed up in the "suggested videos" for one of DanTDM's videos. It got around 10,000 views from it, but the thing is that because most of the views came from suggested videos, it killed the watch time. I went from getting 4 minutes out of 9 minutes on average the first day, to 2 minutes on average after it showed up in his suggested videos. Even though the watch time is bad now, is it a good thing that it showed up in his suggested videos? Or would it be better in the long run for the watch time to be better and not have the video showing up in his suggested videos? Let me know, thanks a lot!
 
I did, but is it good if I want the video to keep showing up in other people's suggested videos/in the search? I feel like the low watch time will affect it negatively, but at the same time I feel like it is good because it showed up in someone's suggested videos, meaning it might show up in more for the future.
 
Lol we had this topic not to long ago that you started what the hell is going on.

I would say it's good.
 
It's always a good thing to have your videos show up in the suggested videos of big name YouTubers. The only thing you can hope for is it living up to the expectations of said viewer so you might end up with some subscribers out of it!
 
I think that's an awesome thing. You did a take a slight blow to the retention time but the trade off for the publicity and viewership gain is worth it!
 
In the suggested videos is better than not. Half of the threads here are complaints that people aren't showing up on there because (well, you come up with your own reason)!

I'm sure 90% of this forum would die to trade places with you! Ya a hit on retention is inevitable but you broke thru. that's a good thing
