Is there no way to leave BBTV/TGN while in a lock-in contract?

I have two buddies who have motorcycle channels that were with BBTV and they both successfully left early. The money that they were generating with BBTV was fractions of fractions less than with Adsense. They contacted support and told them that they would like to be released. They then got to the point where they started public ally reaching out to them (twitter, etc). Started making snarky comments and tagging them in it. They then sent them a message saying that they will be making a video about how bad this network is and exposing their experience unless they were let go. They both got out of BBTV this way.

One had around 30k subs at the time and the other had around 50k.

TL;DR - Gotta threaten them even though that's not the moral thing to do since you signed a contract that you willingly agreed to.

I cant say I agree with people doing that, it's like harassing them into submission because of something you regret doing.

It seems so many people want to be part of networks... I don't get it. Especially smaller channels. Only YOU can build your channel. You give up access to your Adsense account, and I am motivated by checking my Adsense daily to see 'real' time how things are going and react accordingly. Our channel is big enough to where I've been in extended talks with all the big MCNs (even signed with one for a few months and was able to pull out), offered big signing bonuses, 100% Adsense pass-thru, incredible terms on merchandising, product placements, and off-platform deals. But it's nothing I can't do myself and I don't like losing access to checking my own Adsense account. Some seem to find identity in a network, or think an MCN will magically grow their channel, but this is your baby, don't send it off to a boarding house! :)

They used to be a decent network. Oh god why.:/[DOUBLEPOST=1403531053,1403530866][/DOUBLEPOST]
Fairly stupid question, yeah. In March of 2013 I signed with TGN for their original contract. Everything went fairly smoothly. In September 2013 I was asked to sign a longer, 2-year lock-in contract. I figured since my experience hadn't been too bad during my time, I went for it.

Soon after I started noticing just how awful the network actually was. When I got to compare my own RPM with others I saw just how low mine is. When I got in contact with support I noticed a hostility and general unhelpfulness.
It dawned on me that I do not want part in this network anymore. I want to get out.
I'd literally do anything to get out and sign with another network - except of course deleting my channel. Not worth it given my subcount.

So, yeah, back to the fairly dumb question - I want to get the hell out of this 2-year lock in. Is there no way at all? Am I just screwed for another 1 ½ years?

And holyiejifjpoifj! I just realized that your Coyote.:O Big fan of yours, and sad to say that there seems to be no way out.:/ anyway, just talk to them nicely.

Coyoteze, BBTV also have a lock-in 5 year contracts, maybe it's the 5 year deal you're stuck with and if that's the case, it'll be more difficult to leave until that time is up. Once you read the fine print and sign it, there's no turning back, unless a bus hits you. . . jk. Seriously, this is what you'll need to deal with until that contract is up.

Nah, it's a 2-year lock-in. If it had a 5-year one I wouldn't sign it considering 5 years is literally one fourth of my life so far.

On another note, I tried the technique of threatening them. Didn't work. Looks like I will indeed be stuck for 1½ more years :I
There is another option but I'm super skeptical about it. Basically there's this site that supposedly can get you out of a network called "*******". They list scam/trusted networks and offer to help partners out of bad contracts, for a fee (being for lawyers etc). Which is... I dunno. I'd want testimonies from people before I consider it, y'know?

Make a video about it, upload it unlisted, and send it to them. Also say:
"Why is it that I have screenshots of Maria releasing some partners early, without even a 30-day wait? What kind of favoritism is being shown here? I'd like someone from upper management to explain that to me if you aren't going to release my channel immediately."

I can provide the screenshots if needed

BBTV are probably reading this thread :P With all the BBTV threads there has been on here I would be fairly surprised if nobody from there checked this place out from time to time.

I wouldn't trust that site that got asterisks out, it appears to be owned by some people who own a network that once spammed yttalk with 100s of messages across 10s of fake accounts.

Yea I'm with BBTV And they suck. If they won't let me out I'll just make a video about my crappy experiences with them. If you get an email from a network trying to get you to join em' don't do it.
