Is there ever a point where you should give up?

Hello, everyone!

My channel is a gaming channel, which, I know, they're a dime a dozen. I put in all the investments I saw were necessary to stand out in these times. Bought the nice equipment, tried to keep my episodes interesting, etc.

Well, anyway, I went from getting 1.5k-2k views per video to 200-400 views, with my daily views capping at 800ish. The views are consistently dropping. I've done my research and tried my best to get the most efficient SEO I can but it honestly feels like I'm fighting a losing battle, and it's greatly affecting my motivation to even bother anymore.

I've been at this since Dec of 2011, and I'm reaching that point where I feel like my channel has hit its limit and it's time to go home. Does anyone else feel this way?

Maybe try a new look or new venture with your channel. I don't mean change your tittle i.e. Gaming but maybe try a different genre of game. Maybe try attract a different audience to the one you have before!

I would look at your videos that have the most views and compare it to the videos with the lowest views to see whats working. Also look at the analytics of your page for more info on what your viewers are doing

Winston Churchill- Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy

You've been inactive for quite a while so its natural to lose a large portion of your viewerbase. You also do Minecraft videos so it's natural your view to subscriber ratio will be very low. You also play numerous games so your subscriber base is fractured around different things they subscribed for. In short your channel is performing exactly as expected. If you want to improve then make a channel that is more focused or get out of Minecraft ^^

Why throw it all away when you've worked so hard to get to this position? People would kill (ok maybe not kill) to have stats like yours. Maybe you should try something new to liven up your channel. Play something not many people have seen before, think of a new series, try something completely new on your channel like skits, vlogs, tutorials etc. There's no need to give up when there's a lot you can do :)

Listen to this guy ^^ He pointed out a lot of the problems you have. I'll add your name is a tad bit hard to type in and I'm sure you could be doing more branding and marketing.

Not until it feels like a chore to upload...so what if you lost those views, for a while you were uploading like 1 video each month, so it didn't seem like you were dedicated there either, especially with it being a gaming channel. It's to be expected when you go on such a large leave (pretty much 8 months, minus like 6 videos), that you would lose quite a few subs that care about your videos.

No, there's never a ever reason to give up! Personally I'm not big on gaming channels because I'm not a gamer but the guys above have some really good advice and I think you'd regret giving up in the long run. Just try a different approach and see where that gets you!
