Is There ANY Point in Being With a Network Now???

Ah okay. I was under the impression that if your channel wasn't eligible for Adsense, then you also couldn't join a network.

Back when I tried to join RPM, they said my channel wasn't eligible because adsense was disabled for my account. I finally figured out(with ZERO help from RPM or Youtube) that the reason was that one of my videos had the word "nude" in the title lol. (There was no nudity in the video. The video was about the base "nude" 3d skin model used in Saints Row 3). I removed that word and suddenly everything was fine.

Fullscreen has been pretty good at answering my emails. Always within 24 hours, normally within a couple.
 
Wow this actually helped me out a bunch! I wanted to join a network at some point to protect my videos from ever being taken down, but if the network can't really save me either then I probably won't join one unless its like a sick deal like Curse I believe offers a nasty $10 CPM so I have heard.
 
To be fair the network i'm with is able to talk to youtube reps directly to fix problems. I was able to get 2 videos that were age restricted by spam reversed through them. I doubt i'd be able to do that without them otherwise since there's no appeal button for age restricted stuff.

Just wondering if someone could lay out the benefits. I've always heard that networks get you a better CPM, ...but then I compared my CPM with a friend of mine who is with Google Adsense. His CPM for VERY similar content was actually HIGHER than mine, and since he had no split, he makes almost 30% more than I do, even though he has 100s of thousands less views O_0

So any thoughts or opinions? Are there any benefits? Or is it better to go without any network dipping into your earnings?

Do you think they have been running any ads on your channel that they sold themselves? Would those show in adsense or be paid to you separately?

Those would not show in Youtube analytics, according to the help info right on the Youtube estimated earnings page.

However, they definitely have not been selling any ads for my channel. The payments I receive are exactly the same as what is displayed in my Youtube estimated earnings (minus their percentage cut).
 
Why would Youtube take down your videos just because you aren't part of a network?

EDIT: Actually, scratch that- I do know some people who use Google adsense who had their video monetization removed. They started receiving messages from Youtube that they needed to "prove" that they owned everything in their video.
