Is there any point getting a gaming partnership now?

Hey guys,

With all of these changes on YouTube, what are the real benefits of getting a partnership. I've just recently been accepted to Curse, ZoominGames, BoomVideo and Fullscreen, but is it worth it even partnering with them any more. Could I just get an adsense account and run ads on my videos because the monetization process is no different any more?

Thanks

There is absolutely 0 reason to go with an MCN now unless that mcn can provide in writing to have a much higher CPM than what you get with regular adsense.

At least couple of benefits:
*Being alone with Adsense you risking your Adsense account (click bombing), while being in Network you not using your Adsense account = its safe.
*Network Support is much more responsive to our messages than Youtube support.

And I still believe being with Adsense alone, video review process would be more annoying than being with Network, but we will see if it is like that on January.

Ok, thanks for the fast reply, I was so excited to get a partnership and youtube changes their policies a day after I get offered one :/ So you can earn more with adsense anyway?

Your adsense account is used while you're under a network, that is how a network collects revenue. Click bombing can still occur and the mcn isn't going to do anything to protect you.

Only if the networks CPM is higher than your own.

Definitely wait a couple of months and reconsider whether you should join one then.

This. The question now is this:
Are the "afflifates" under mcns going through the same review system that regular adsense users or a diffierent one which gets easier with time? If it's exactly the same (as things are pointing to) then the mcns afflifate will really see no benefits.

For the level of % that mcns ask for the harsh bottom line is this:

  • MCN CPM can be the same or slightly higher (or even possibly lower at times) than a regular adsense users.
  • The promotion thing is a joke and was always a big lie, mcns only promote their big established channels. Imagine: an mcn has a 100k channels. Promoting a thousand channels alone is a huge job, promoting all 100k channels is impossible
  • The music library some mcns offer can be "nice" but comeon, you can find royalty free music elsewhere if you need a bg track.
  • Only "managed" partners continue to have instant monitization and all the other great feautres/promotions while the afflifates constantly give up their % split in return for nothing. Content id matches? Strikes? You're on your own. This is clearly stated in the new system, the mcn is not responsible, you are.
So really, someone tell me why anyone whos not managed needs an mcn anymore?

CPM won't be lower. Overall earnings can. And the music libraries are usually something heavy like ProductionTrax or Audiomicro. There is no free resource that have the sheer volume of content those groups do.

So networks are useless to me now since they don't care about me. BUT! I don't monetize anything out of choice and nobody would want to partner with me.

How do you think Network can take money from your Adsense and pay you through their PayPal or Bank transfer payment?
If your Adsense would be used then you would get paid through Adsense payment, not through Networks PayPal or Bank transfer.

Im with Network and i never added my own Adsense to my channels since start because i never been partnered directly with Youtube (never wanted to risk my Adsense).
Now which Adsense do you think is on my channels? Mine?
