Is there any point asking a bigger Youtuber to do a Collab?

Most people won't, because it will come across as your intentions is to use them for their subscribers, and try to pull a "get big quick" scheme. Even if that's not your intentions, that's how it will look to them.

Another reason why most won't is it doesn't really benefit them, and wouldn't be fair.



My advice is try to become friends with them, as that makes the chances of collabing higher. I've received a bunch of messages from people I have never seen in my life wanting to collab with me, all super small channels. I deny them for reasons I said above ^
 
You never know, but it is unlikely, it's best to ask people who have the same kind of subscriber number as you :)
 
well looking at your videos you do have very good quality videos. I mean you can give it a go, people with 500 to 1000 subscribers probably also like doing collabs as they are still in the "small channel" catogary according to much bigger youtubers.
 
Pretty much what everyone has said already. There is a slight chance that they'll say yes, but it seems more likely that they'll say no. There's really no reason for them collab with a smaller YouTuber unless they really like the smaller YouTuber and go to them first.
 
additionaly one reason why they might want to join is so that you share subscribers and then after one month you can both gain more subscribers that you both probably haven't shared before so that later on you can do another collab and share those new subscribers.
 
It never hurts to ask, but if the other channel is significantly larger, you have to be able to offer them something unique. We've worked with channels up to 10x our size because of what we have to offer.

On the flip side of that, don't be an *******. We had someone message us challenging us to some competition for a collab-he even demanded that we pay for a hotel and airline ticket. He had around 50 subscribers. If you do that to a channel several thousand times larger than you, you will be on their s**t list.
