Is Sub4Sub a Good Idea?

Other than just a number count on your channel, it has no real benefits. Most of the subscribers that are subbed are pretty much dead ones. They don't really watch the video (which defeats the purpose of subscribing altogether). Imo, subscribers are people who are interested in the subscribee's (no pun intended) channel in order to view the subscribee's content. If someone subscribers but do not view the content, it is pretty much the equivalent of not subscribing at all, imho.

So in short, sub4sub isn't a good thing, especially for your channel growth. I highly discourage it.
 
NO. Now, sub 4 sub is not good, but it does look good in a suit and tie, and maybe more people will subscribe if you have more subscribers. That is all.
 
I am against it. BUT- it offers a slight benefit. You seem more legit, youtube -may- improve your ranking and offers next to no cons besides a guilty conscious.
 
Subscribers don't really matter unless they're actually viewing your videos, and Sub4Sub really just gives you a bunch of inactive subscribes. It's honestly just a free and more tedious way of buying subscribers. I wouldn't recommend it.
 
Except... it doesn't cost money, and has marginal but real benefits. I know I would be more likely to subscribe someone with more subscribers- also I'd take them more serious... even though I know that it shouldn't matter.
