Is Sketch Comedy Dead on YouTube?

I've been looking all over this website for a post about Sketch Comedy, that's what me and a team of my friends are trying to do in our free time, but it is definitely hard to build an audience.

I'm not discouraging it! I've been doing it for years and still find a way to make it :) It's inspiring to hear people still like it!

What's good about it is, if you have an awesome group of people, it's not just you doing everything. Sharing the work, sharing the reward :)

Hey, Jason, I would like to believe that sketch comedy is not dead on youtube. I would say that it is definitely going through a bit of a dry spell as of late, but dead? God, let's hope not. My sketch group recently started this past summer inspired solely by Bath Boys Comedy. We thought if Peter and co. could do it, then we can too! This opened up a whole world of amazing sketch groups to me and my team. Now we live and breath by the Bath Boys, TotallySketch, Extremely Decent, and Aunty Donna. Even if it's lost it's steam, I think it's only a matter of time until it hits it's resurgence.

Even if it doesn't I'm incredibly thankful to have discovered these groups and can enjoy them for as long as they are available. Your work in TotallySketch has always impressed us and I commend you for all that you've done! Let's hope that the world of youtube sketches makes a comeback.

I specialize in gaming sketches and it's been pretty tough to build an audience in comparison to the Let's Players, Reviewers, Commentary, etc.

I enjoy doing sketches the most, so I'm not giving up trying to find an audience.
