Is short better?

If views only count if the viewer gets more than half way through the video and what not, what if you just make videos that are super short (like 30s to 1m) and then you'll get a ton more views and then more money? just an idea but I find that the shorter a video is, the more views it gets, at least for smaller channels.
 
Remember that people actually prefer shorter videos unless they are REALLY INTO the subject of the video.
 
I believe if you use this method you start eating pumpkins... On account of being a cheater...

I would say 1 minute to 1min 30sec is a good time for a video. Not too short, not too long.
 
The idea is just to not give viewers a chance to click away before they have heard what you have to say

Dude, don't get all offended. There's good 30 videos like a fight or someone falling or something. It's possible to make a planned 30 second thing. However, its gonna be hard, would it be a 30 yell video people would use to annoy their friends? How would it fit into your other videos? Say your a gamer and you have a 30 second yell video. I mean, its cool if you can pull it off but I don't think it will work if its not for content but for hits. If you figure out a formula let me know. RICKROLLED!!!
