Is reddit good for getting views and feedback?

I've Got It
Okay so now I've been wondering a bit ,,
Is reddit a good way to gain views and get people to give feedback or even like the video?

And tell me why please? :)

Stay Awesome!

With my personal experience, I found you need to find the most suitable subreddit and also luck plays a role in it. There was one time were I got 60 views from reddit, but ever since I haven't been getting more views and I keep posting on a weekly basis.

I use reddit all the time. There's no way you can post videos without helping others beforehand though.

Reddit can be a little intimidating for some and rightly so, the community can be ruthless against people trying to abuse or break subreddit rules. Like this forum, you've gotta put the time in and provide feedback for other youtubers.

It's definitely worth it in my opinion, most of my views have come from reddit.

Reddit is a strange beast. They hate self promotion and spamming so you have to be really careful where you post because they could turn on you in a big way. The best thing to do is get active on reddit, find some sub reddits that you enjoy and get active in the community there. Then when you post something do it in a friendly way an example would be "Hey, guys just made this and thought might be something you like" rather than "Hey, watch my video!". I did this a got a little bit of feedback and fair amount of views so it does work, just make sure you aren't spamming.

Another thing to note is there is Reddit Karma. This works with their upvoting system so if you just post links and no one upvotes them you are marked as a spammer. I made this mistake with my first account, you basically get locked out from sharing links. So make sure you're commenting and being active more than you're sharing links and when you share them, you do it in a friendly way. Reddit isn't a place for promotion, it's for sharing so remember that.

@MattyGreen is absolutely right. But there are some youtuber subbreddits that are there for promotion, but they work on a 2 for 1 basis. You give at least 2 youtubers feedback and you can post a video of your own. There's no algorithm to detect it but there are typically a bunch of moderators that are very good at keeping the peace and making sure everyone is playing by the rules.

Doesn't reddit sound like fun?! :D

For views, yes.
For feedback, I don't think so XD

But to avoid that kind of stuff, please find a suitable sub-reddit for your video ;)

I don't know about that, I've received some great feedback from a few subreddits :P

Primarily 'Youtubers' and 'LetsPlayCritiques'. I recommend people go there for actual feedback.

I have never had much luck. Maybe a couple views... but then I may be posting in the wrong areas.

It seems to work well for other people though!
