Is Reddit a Great place to Share

Personally, I have heard pros and cons of Reddit, but I would probably stay away from it like the plague if you value your video ratings and comments.

Nooooo Reddit is a petri dish of evil.

Seriously it's a hate wagon. You could have the best video ever, but all you'll get are down thumbs and sometimes nasty comments.

Reddit only works if your video/image/link etc happens by Reddit in a viral way.
^ What she said.
I have had some luck with Reddit but not enough to sneeze at. For instance I had a video I shared from a different channel I have and it got 400 views in a week. Sounds awesome right? But I tried it with another video and I didn't get a single view. What I concluded was that the first video had a pretty girl in the thumbnail and people clicked to see her, while the other one had a dude in the thumbnail and no one cared. Also just FYI people can troll like crazy on Reddit, I have been called some pretty nasty names for no reason, so if you go in just note that it could happen.
Now with that said there have been some success stories that came out of Reddit like the Overly Attracted Girlfriend. Someone shared her video on Reddit and now she's a Youtube celeb. So I guess it's like playing the lottery.
^ This.

Ask uberdanger

EDIT: Half a million views in less than a week, all because of Reddit.
(correct me if i'm wrong uber)

How correct you are, but it's not Reddit itself that gives you all the exposure. Think of it like this, if you make it to the frontpage, your video will be launched into the "semi-viral zone". Then it can snowball from there, mine got shared on a Facebook page which had nearly 6 million likes, and thus it's steadily heading towards a million views. I also got like 7000 subs in under a week.

Jeez, that is awesome!
Sorry, I shouldn't have said "all" as I knew you already had a loyal following.

I think Reddit can work for you on a rare occasion or two, but usually you won't have any such luck. That being said, I don't see any downsides to trying.
