I have had good luck with Reddit so far. No one has been to harsh yet and I have gained some great feed back.
I never got particularly harsh treatment on reddit. I mainly just got ignored. I may or may not have been shadow banned...I just find it hard to balance my posting to promoting ratio...
Its difficult really, I mean; I currently post on about half a dozen message boards actively, on top of that im managing my twitter account (Though I tend to coast a bit on that one to be honest) and Instagram. out of all of them i'd say the message boards and Insta have been the most responsive. but Reddits just been absolute silence since I signed up...even commenting on a few peoples posts jus usually leads to no kind of communication xD it's a bit like talking to a wall for the most part...I can see why bigger youtubers often outsource there social media to a team because lord knows how I'd cope if I had to do all the social media'ing AND upload 3-4 times a week @_@ I'd be burned out by the end of the month xDAbsolutely the same. I kind of feel like I've been using the Reddits in my niche as video dumps recently and probably need to be a little careful as I can see it ending with me alienating their community.
Oh that's really cool! Maybe I will check it out. I'm not a spammer or anything so I'm sure it won't be bad.The guy I work with on my collaboration channel that I'm starting owns/manages NewTubers. I can truly say it is worth it. There is lots of advice for new youtubers there. It's a really good community for getting feedback/advice on ur channel.

Reddit is okay, but very few subreddits allow you to really post a bunch of videos, or even self-promote. They are very strict with that type of stuff, so if you don't want to promote where you really need to research what you'll say or do with each post; I would maybe recommend Facebook Groups/Pages, they are much more relaxed with sharing or promoting, especially if you're in a community with a similar topic or just youtube themed in general.
