Is Monetisation Random?

So, I have a few monetized videos, and some others unmonetized. I'm not quite sure how this works because sometimes the videos are pretty much the same. Same song, same game, same activity in said game and same(ish) duration.

After trying to appeal showing that I have commercial rights for said game/music, they're still denied while others videos are monetized.

Anyone cares to explain how this works? It feels a bit random to me.

What are your videos about? Are you showing gameplay or anything else that they might get touchy about?
If they're refusing your appeals, maybe it's a case that it's the monetized ones that have slipped through the net, and they could in fact all be denied?

It's all automated so who knows what the system tried to detect in order to deny or require more proof to monetize

Pretty much gameplay/tutorial videos of a certain game, and according to their terms of use, I'm free to make videos with it. The music I'm using is royalty free and I always give credit.

I considered joining a network, but I don't like the idea of being stuck with them for a year or 2, just in case things don't go as planned. Plus I'm just getting started and don't have that many views yet so I'm sure I wouldn't get a good deal.

go with creator x as they are designed to help newer channels and a good group of guys. tell them your concerns and they can help you feel more at bay
