Is it wrong to want to star/act in your own Stories/scripts/productions?

for a long time i have battled with myself to try and separate myself from acting out as the main character or a sub character in any of my scripts or stories, however the more and more the story or script develops, the more i see myself having to be either the main or sub character.

I honestly feel that because ive went to such length and detail to make the story right, that i am the only person who can deliver the necessary actions and persona to make the script at its best.

However is this frowned upon or do people commonly write stories and scripts with the intention of having themselves as the main or a sub character?

All I would say is do what's best for the story. If you believe you are the right person for the script, do it. If you end up getting bad feedback, learn from it and move on.

Of course it's not bad, until you are the right person to do it, but maybe I would ask somebody, so you are sure that you're the right person to do it, so yeah you're good to go, if you're the right person. :D

Go for it bro! It's not frowned upon. It's actually quite good to have that. You have ambition to put in your 100% into your content. That in itself should speak for itself.

I personally respect you for it c:

It certainly hasn't stopped all the other web series creators from starring in their own productions (Felicia Day in The Guild comes to mind). Go for it!

Well, isn't this just what we YouTubers do in general anyway? We star in our own productions. So, I really don't see anything wrong with it ;)

Thanks for the advice guys! To be honest I've seen myself on numerous occasions practice the roles over and over with such precision to the point i might even elude myself into thinking I'm right for the roles.

If however i did see I'm not right for the role it doesn't hurt to look towards casting.

Once again thank you guys!
