Is it worth while paying For AdWords, Virool etc

I've Got It
Hi guys just wondering what the general consensus on paying money to get your video's viewed is. I mean is it worth while or is it just a scam?
 
It can be worthwhile to buy promotion through Google Adwords for YouTube, because it just makes you appear more in searches and such. Virool and other sites of its kind are useless though.

After looking at Virool it looks as though it just forces people to watch your video in popups and that counts as a view. I don't think that would be a very good way to get more subscribers. So it's just empty views, or have i got that wrong?

No, actually. I was looking at employment there.

They are essentially just a marketing firm. People think it's like magic.. but it's not.
 
Only if you have a large amount of money.. something like £10 would get you like 100-150 views because that's how many clicks they would allow your advert to get before they remove it.. You would need in the thousands to actually gain anything from it like fans and such because you would need to reach a large amount of people not just the first 100 people that click it...

Virool is good to get your video in front of audiences... Imagine it like an american idol audition.

Yes but you need to pay them a lot of money to get your video in front of a large audience.. and you will need a large audience so that hopefully a % of that audience will like your videos and become fans.
 
right so what i'm taking from this is if you beleive you have an exceedingly good video and an excess of cash then it could be a good idea, however unless your willing to pay a lot of money it's not really worth it

Correct, as they're an advertising/marketing company they will get your video out there but you'll be paying them each time the link to the video gets clicked by a real person. Once you're out of credit they take your video off all the sites and such where they advertised them and the only way to really gain fans and such through advertising is to have your video out there for a long time.. which obviously costs more :)
