Is it worth partnering with a network?

I also joined Freedom a while ago, weeks later they kicked me out, and then decided to work with Adsense.
The only good thing from Freedom was their Music Library.

i didnt like the music library, i got copyright on some music too. they took ages to reply to any messages ( tickets ) you sent them. the mods on the forum were rude. i posted a video on the gaming section and it got removed by a mod. he inboxed me having a go at me. i dont need that. isnt youtube supposed to be about enjoying what you love and meeting new and interesting people.
 
I was wondering whether to join an MCN or not and the consensus seems to be they don't do anything for you except steal a part of your revenue from adsense. With thousands of users, they're not going to promote you unless you are already big. There are a lot of videos on youtube and most of them seem to be about the negative experiences and warning others not to join an MCN.
