Is it true youtube can take you to hollywood

I heard from some websites that they are actors that were not even experienced but the only reason they got picked is that they did youtube videos, can that actually happen.
 
Fred is a good example of this, from his squeaky voice comedy stuff or whatever it is he ended up doing Nickelodeon series on TV, made a few songs, yeah they aint that good but some like them :D It isnt quite movie making etc but its good still.

fred did make a movie apparently
 
The only people I can think of that made it past YouTube is Fred (show and movies on Nickelodeon), Dax Flame who was in the movies Project X and 21 Jump Street and Chris Crocker who had a documentary on HBO.

Shane Dawson has been trying to make a 'movie' for years now and nobody really cares. Most YouTube people aren't marketable and will only be 'famous' on the internet.
 
it was a straight-to-nickelodeon channel movie. I remember my lil sis watching it maybe 2 years ago (?)

anyway, it's possible, it just depends on how famous on youtube you are i suppose

Annoying orange made it past youtube as well :) He has a show on..ummm I think cartoon network now. It's actually funny . :p
