because you can leave thier Network whenever you want (some Network with no-lockin contract give you notice max. 30days for unlink your channel).

Yeah some MCNs do it for renewal contract, but some MCNs will increase revenue share by daily views or amount of subscriber.

checkout "socialblade {dot} com/youtube/top/networks" let see top 10 except "Vevo". and you must know may some Network have sub-network.
Example: Maker Gen (Maker Studio)
sub-network under Maker Gen: Polaris, TheStation, N4GTV, RPM, Paramaker, etc.

45% cut for free Space and ad.
you check YT analystics and see your est. earning is mean that your earning after Google/YouTube cut 45%.

but if you with MCN you will get cut (your est. earning) again by Network for pay their Ad service and more.

Example: - AdSense: You earn 150$ / month (check YT/analystics thats already cut by Google/YouTube so IDK your real earn).
- MCN: You earn 150$/month you will get cut 40%-5% thats about their contract with you.
