Is it possible to revive a dead YouTube channel?

I don't want to post try not to laughs anymore. I want to do strictly gaming content on my channel, so in that case what do you think I should do? It's pointless to start a new channel, right?

Well in that case I suggest you stick to your channel and keep uploading the gaming videos :)

it's pointless to start a new channel, I see you get 1k views per video so that's a start and a good thing, just remember don't let the other inactive subs get to your head, and don't call your channel dead, most of those subscribers are inactive because you haven't uploaded the "try not to" so like I said before don't let it go to your head, just keep making gaming videos.

Because your channel is definitely not dead. It will pick up with time. :)

Thank you :) So I'm not really doing anything wrong, i just need more people who like gaming to find out about my channel?

My YouTube channel is dying, and it's really worrying me. At 130,000 subscribers I only get around 1,000 views a video, and I was wondering if it's even worth it to keep making videos on this channel? Could I revive this channel even after it's dead and start getting more active, new subscribers, or should I just restart on a new channel and tell my current active subscribers to come over to the new one?
Why would you restart your channel if you have that many subs with that many views per video? You risk a new channel taking a long time to get the first thousand.

Well one thing to do would be to ask the people currently still viewing your videos for more input. Maybe hold polls about the next game you are going to do, or find some way to get your active members to participate. Show your current viewers that you are working to create something that they and you both will enjoy, and they will let you know what they want. When you personally interact with subbers, they will love that you took the time even if they don't particularly like what you are currently doing. Good feedback from your current fan base will attract more and so on.

Since it sounds like you are trying to go in a different direction with your channel, you will at least have some exposure from your previous creations that were successful. If I'm seeing someone take a new uncertain direction than from what I expect, or if I have never seen your channel at all, by at least going through and seeing that you can make successful vial videos I would have a lot more confidence in you, as opposed to a new channel just starting out.

TLDR:

If you go in a new direction, your previous sub-base will be a little confused and dissapointed. But if you show that you can retain your success in a new environment ( sounds like lps in this case), then those still watching will spread the word, and you can build up a fan-base in a new community~

Yes, but with that it will take time, don't worry, your channel is set and you have about 1,000-2,000 active subscribers that watch your minecraft videos. Keep it up, and don't ever say "my channel is dead" because it's not. :) Keep it up bro.

I don't think there is any reason you are not able to. Start uploading, get rid of your old stuff unless it is the same as your new format and go for it. You are doing it for yourself first anyway. So the real question is: Do I want to create? If that answer is yes nothing else really matters. Go for it!
