Is it just my internet?

I Love YTtalk
So recently some video's will play fine on YouTube and will continuously play in HD (720 or 1080) without buffering or randomly stopping completely. Though, there are a few that will stop randomly and I cannot get past that point regardless of the quality I set the video to or how many times I refresh the page. Is it just my internet or are others having this issue? We're getting fibre optic soon though, having moved house recently we were rather limited to begin with.

Yeah I have that bug when my internet is slow and had it for like 5 years or something like that. No matter what you do you will never see the end of that video, unless you replug the router.

Well thats annoying, there is a video I wanted to watch and it just will simply not let me. I guess I'll wait until we get the fibre optic in December.

Well put it in your favorites and watch it when the internet is stable again. :)

It happened to me sometimes, maybe is your internet not supporting that specific video and it stops. Or maybe the video is not completely processed at that moment and it goes slow :)

I have had a similar situation, many videos would play perfectly fine and the internet was fine too but on the video I really wanted to watch it would be stuck, I tried clearing my cache etc but it would still stick at the same point on the video each time. It tends to work after a few hours somehow though.

Yeah, I'm having issues with playback, sometimes I start a video (net will be fine) and it just doesn't start playing I have to refresh the page a few times. Sometimes randomly it will change the video to 144p even while my net speeds are fine. Also sometimes if I set it to 720p or 1080p it just gets stuck until I refresh. I tried using their HTML 5 beta, but it was just as bad if not a little worse for me at times. This happens whether I'm using FF or Chrome too. Funny thing is, a 1min-2min ad will work perfectly 100% no skips, no lag, downloads super fast, get to the video and stuck... lol

I forgot to mention this, it seems to happen a lot when using the xbox 360 YouTube app, it comes up with the sorry the service isnt available and keeps trying to play the video, other videos work fine though a lot of the time.

The video has been out for a few days now, so seems odd that it would still be processing. Will have to wait and see if fibre optic does anything, if not, I'll put it down to a YouTube bug; which isn't rare.
