I've Got It
Is it bad that this is one of the only reasons I do YouTube?

To elaborate, I don't exactly see myself as an attention *****. I just love to get noticed of what I try to do and I love seeing notifications regardless if it's another comment or a comment on one of my own videos. It may be sad, but this is one of the only things I enjoy out of by making videos.

Is it bad that I feel this way?

Nothing wrong with wanting attention :)
I check my email like 10 times a day looking for comments and subs when i drop a new video. no harm in that.
Not bad. Everyone is looking for another person to connect with. Via YouTube (and social media in general) it's very easy to get sucked into the someone-pay-attention-to-me vortex
True, but not exactly what I meant, but I also didn't explain well at all anyway.

I meant necessarily the bell notification, on a precise level. I don't mind anywhere else, but I just love it when I always see that notification on Google or YouTube. I don't mind on Twitter or Soundcloud or anything like that.

It is not a bad thing. It is natural to check for updates or any comments or anyone interacting with your videos. Every YouTuber does it and it is a part of being a YouTuber.
However if that is the only sole reason you do YouTube, I am not sure that is a good thing? I mean I do it as a hobby and because eventually I want to create TV shows and films that connect with people. I eventually want to create stories that stay with people for a lifetime. That is why I do YouTube.
Attention and comments/notifications is just a natural part of YouTube but personally, it is not the sole reason I am on YouTube.

I agree with the above. I dont think any YouTuber would deny they check their notifications on a semi regular basis at minimum. That being said its all about motivation, what drives you to do what you do? My motivation is simple:

I am moving. Therefore I want to create a solid product I can share with our friends and family as we travel across the country, and then the adventures we get up to after that. Each day I upload is an opportunity to get a little better.

Personally the sole reason I want(ed) to start YouTube was to become better in what I know of already. Before, I used to enjoy doing audio spectrums in After Effects (Adobe) and started a music channel in the name of it, creating nice animations and logos with it which led me into graphic design. Then I wanted to start editing and that's how YouTube started off for me as gaming. I do it as a hobby, but I primarily intend it to be educational. Now that I've started college, it would serve a bigger purpose now.

I think any creative people like to have folks see their work. It's what motivates all types of artists, writers, performers, and others. I don't think there's anything "bad" about it at all.

No...I don't thing it will be bad...it's really great to see that you're very eager to see if anyone want to share there experience about your video...I thing it's great that you care every single notification on your channel :)
