Is it bad to have Bitly Links

You won't get banned.

But there is a pre-conception that bitly links are "spam or virus" related.

This is due to a lot of negative press, so viewers may not click them.

If I was you, I'd just link them normally. It's not as if you gain any massive benefit from bitly by using their service.

Plus if you link them normally, viewers will see EXACTLY where the link will take them (i.e. Facebook page, Twitter profile, etc.)
 
I do say what the link is eg
Check out MA FACEBOOK: IJAJJKFKJNKQJHFIQIJ.com
and it's a gaming channel and the links always take up the description panel.....alot
 
Just because you say what the link is, doesn't mean that's what it will be.

I'm sure you are honest with your links, but the public view on it is that bitly's link to a lot of viruses.

I'm just saying make sure you are aware of this perception.

YouTube will often shorten links anyway (in the sense that it will be the normal link, but cut off with "...") so it shouldn't take up too much room.
