Firstly i do not have any copyright strikes with awesomenesstv and i upload vlogs and gaming videos. however awesomenesstv are stating :

** Also please note that if your channel has any copyright strikes, your payments have been put on hold and is being reviewed by our legal team to see if your channel is acceptable to pay. This is a lengthy process so be patient, when your channel is reviewed you will receive and email notifying you if your payment has been accepted or denied. Remember, you can only make money off of content you own the intellectual property rights to.

Thanks and we will be in touch in regards to your payments!

... so youtube pays awesomenesstv... why should they be allowed to keep the money if a partner gets a strike?

even though im sure i wont get a strike, i wish i never joined them back in may lol.

Because if somebody else owns the rights to the content, the other party should be receiving the funds.

From the network's perspective, if they are seen as profiting from copyright violations, they are subject to lawsuits.

If a partner gets a strike, YouTube reclaims their revenue which is passed over to the content owner, ATV wouldn't receive a cent :p

Unless it was found that the strike was on false grounds.

I thought that should be the rightful process but this is the first I have heard about this.
Are there any resources to read to get more information on this topic?

It's on the documentation on cms.youtube.com If you don't have a content owner you won't have access :(
