Is a Yt shoutout series a good idea..?

Just crossed my mind & was wondering if it would help your channel?

I wouldn't attempt it now because I don't have many subs or would you think it could still work with a low sub count?

People will sub to you just for the shoutout... Watch one or two of your videos... And never return...

Then when you have somewhat of a bigger following, all of a sudden appear like they were friends with you and had been watching your content the whole time. "Hey! Remember me I subbed to you since you were at 10 subs..."

I dislike shoutouts. It's so fake.
