Is a script needed for a gaming commentator ?

I wouldent do a script because without it you sound more natural through out the entire video. Now you could have talking points that's always something good to have. But a script would just take too much time to create and would only make your videos sound less "real".
 
I found when doing gaming videos that if I put down bullet points of certain things I wanted to speak about I didn't end up making the video too long. I don't think you need a whole written out speech but some directions help. But that also depends whether you are doing live commentary or post commentary.
 
I do gaming commentary and i can tell you that you do not need it, However, if you cannot create thoughts on the spot and you're very quiet and boring you might wanna think about it. My show is mostly unscripted except for my segment steve's gameslice hub which needs a script cuz well its not commentary its a show. So it's a yes and no depending on what you're doing and how much skill you have =)
