I have been using both windows and mac Operating Systems and it really comes down to what you are using it for as in programs alot of programs are Pc or Mac Exclusive editing? yeah the mac can handle that i can just get away with that on my 4gb ram 2011 macbook that i have owned for about 4 years now still going strong.
if you do not want to spend alot on a mac then pick up an older model plus some of the older ones you can take apart and upgrade the parts just like any old computer and ive seen my model going around for between 400 and 600 pounds
