Is a Channel Trailer beneficial? :)

Hey guys :cat2: , I'm in process of beginning my own Fashion/Beauty YouTube channel! I am actually half way through editing and producing the first Fashion video, ready for upload, but after some research I found a lot of people say to make a short trailer as your first video, sort of telling people what your channels gonna be about! :)

Do you guys think its a good idea, have any of you had good results from this?

Thanks!

I've been told it really does attract people to your channel in an informative way. If not, it really is a great introductory aspect of your channel.

I would say too make one as this shows people who aren't subscribed to your channel what your channel is all about :3

Hmmm I don't know personally I don't have one :P I just change the video out of one of the ones i have now and then :P I think cause channels change sometimes I didn't make one just in case i say something in it that wouldn't apply later on ^_^

It doesn't have to be your first video, you can make it and set as your channel trailer whenever you want.

Yes for the love of all that is good in this world, yes.

For starters, most people who are visiting your channel itself have seen one of your videos. They found it in a search and then went to check out the channel. So you already have a potentially interested audience. Now, you have the perfect opportunity to advertise to them all of the good work that you do, in order to convince them to subscribe. Even better, this video doesn't bother your current subscribers in the slightest because they never see it. Not having a trailer is foolish.

That said, keep it to about a minute in length.

I completed a very short channel intro video. I received quite a few views on it already. I always check out to see if a channel has a intro vid to help me decide if I should sub or not. =)
